We got this cool site award after being on line for only a couple of weeks. We were pretty impressed until we found out that these are handed out to anyone who wants one. But someone thought we had a cool enough site to send it to us, so we'll take it.
Most of the icons and special text developed for this site were made from Pixelsight Graphics. This is a nice on-line graphics program that is pretty easy to use, whether creating icons from scratch or editing existing GIF files. We highly recommend it.
We were the subject of a column in the July 2001 edition of Softball West Magazine. The article, written by editor Mark Rhodes, highlighted the end of our 26-year run.

In April of 1989 we also had a feature story written about the team in Softball World, a local newspaper, on the occasion of the team's 15-year anniversary. Our game was also featured in the paper's "Game of the Week" section, complete with box score and photos. Ever the showoff, we won the game 17-8.

Randy's Icon and Image Bazaar. What we didn't make from Pixelsight, we snagged from Randy's. Lots of icons and stuff to spruce up a web site.
The DeMarini Bat Company. The only advertising we ever accepted on the site. In exchange for a spot at the top of our "Links" page for one year, we were given a new bat. That was back in '97, and we never heard from them again, so our experience in advertising is done. Nice bat, by the way.
The wonderful folks at WebCom. It was our first experience with a web hosting company, and it was so easy at the start. Now operating as part of Verio, our experience with Webcom was truly extraordinary. Terrific company.
