File Recovery Policy

WebCom makes regular backups of the WebCom system, using a state of the art automated backup system. WebCom clients are strongly urged to keep their own backups of files which reside in their accounts, in case files are inadvertently deleted by the user. Under certain conditions, however, the WebCom engineers are able restore files for clients from our own backups. This page outlines our policies regarding the restoring of files for WebCom customers.


Fees

WebCom charges a $100 fee for the restoration of files which were present in the customer's account no more than 30 days prior to the request. These files can normally be restored within one week of the request, however this may not always be possible. Requests for file restorations should be sent to our Technical Support department, at support@webcom.com.

If the files were not present in the customer's account within the last 30 days, then backups of customer files will not be available.


Other Conditions

You must have a open account with WebCom before we can recover your files. For example, if you cancel your account, resulting in the files being purged from the account, and you then want the files recovered, you must first open up a new WebCom account into which we can restore the files. We cannot "recreate" a canceled account.

We will recover files and place them in your account, and inform you of where they have been recovered to. You are responsible for placing them in the appropriate location within your account.

If you wish a global recovery of an entire account, you will need to specifically authorize us to over-write any files in existence at the time of recovery, otherwise you will again be responsible for placing the files in the appropriate locations.
