![]() | Why don't I receive the results of my form in email? |
This can result from either a problem with the primary email address you have supplied to WebCom (the data is getting sent from the Forms Processor, but is getting interrupted somewhere along the way), or the form uses the word 'email' as one of it's field values.
The most common cause of this problem is when the word 'email' is used as one of the field name values in the form. The word 'email' is one of the pre-defined parameters which the Forms Processor uses to redirect the form's data to an email address other than the default for the WebCom userid.
The easiest way to solve this problem is to change any field names that are set to 'email' to something different, like 'em' for instance.
Another reason email may not be working correctly with a form is that the sample email addresses given in WebCom's template configuration files may have been left unchanged. In our Guestbook template, for instance, many users do not change the address "admin@webcom.com" in the format email statement. This causes your form information to be emailed to the Web Communications administrative mailbox.
