Most likely, your FTP Client (the program you used to transfer your files to WebCom) used "MacBinary" format, instead of plain "binary" or "Raw Data". You will need to transfer the files again (the new transfers will overwrite the old ones), using the correct format ("binary" or "Raw Data").
