Mail Delivery Errors |
Occasionally errors will be returned when sending messages to Email Distribution Lists, due to invalid or out-dated email addresses, or failed connections to remote mail servers. Receiving these error messages is vital to maintaining email lists, as it helps you purge old addresses to keep your list efficient. WebCom customers can specify any valid email address to receive these error messages. This is configured in the Email Distribution List section of the Email Account Maintenance Form.
You need to keep in mind that the email address you specify here may on occasion receive a large number of email messages. Thus, you will want to make sure that the email box can handle this type of situation. An easy way to ensure this is to create a separate email account within your WebCom account which is used solely for receiving error messages from your lists.
