The WebCommerce Checkout Stand
At the checkout stand, the shopper can once again review the items in
their cart, change the quantity, delete items, clear it completely, undo
whatever change they last made, or return to shop.
They are prompted for their bill-to and ship-to information as well as
payment information (You have already
predetermined the payment methods in the Back Office). The shopper
selects the payment method. If it’s by credit card, they select which
card, enter its number and expiration date.
Only if you have chosen optional
CyberCash credit card
processing will the credit card information be
authorized—all within seconds!
Otherwise, the information is sent
securely to your WebCommerce account for manual processing.
With the CyberCash option, if the credit card is either invalid or the
shopper doesn’t have enough money in their credit card account, they
will be prompted for another card number. They then have another
opportunity to fill out the information and resubmit it. This is a very
valuable feature since it will save you money and time from having to
track down incorrect credit card numbers (After all, how many times
have you mistakenly typed your credit card number when you've ordered
something).
